Thank God It’s Friday

What an experience I have last weekend. On a Friday night a friend of mine texted me and asked if we could meet and have a little good time. Since its Friday I said Yes. So we met at this Hotel somewhere in Q.C. He was at the penthouse on a piano bar. The place was nice and cozy. From 5pm to 10pm, the place has Off Track Betting (OTB) for horse racing enthusiast. From 10pm onwards it’s a piano bar. The Singer was good. Ypu can actually feel the mood for love while she was singing a love song. Then one of a regular customer made a request if he could sing. It was an old man that has the voice of Frank Sinatra. I can’t forget him because of his voice, especially when he sung some tagalog songs. It was really nice.

After that, at around 11:30pm the show was finished. it was closing time. But for me, the party is just waiting to happen. So we head on to Malate, in Ermita. My friend told me that his friends are there in a café waiting for us where bands play good music. I think the name was L.A. Café. So we head on there. After finding the place, we parked our car and go to our ever-dependable-cell phone to call our friends to get us inside. Upon entering, friend told us that they are at the second floor, where the band plays. On a small round table near the bar we found ourselves drinking and talking. Then the wildest thing happened. There were ladies fighting. They brawled a little bit but the bouncers stopped them. Funny thing is, the shouting continued and the bad words flew all over the place. That’s the time I realized that they were prostitutes. I started to take a look around. I saw many foreigner all over the place, Japanese, Americans, British, Blacks, etc. Then it came to my mind, “this is Ermita, what else Am I expecting?” Not to be rude, but in my whole life, I have never seen so many prostitutes at one time in one place. Left and right, front and back, side by side, they are all over the place attracting foreigners. Well I can see that the foreigners are having a good time too. I guess this is reality.

The band. They are great there are all in all 3 singers, One female and two gays. I was surprised upon hearing the song my sacrifice from Creed. Kuha nung bading yung boses! They even played come together. All in all we went home at around 5:30 in the morning. Well again that’s my story last weekend. Till next week again.

Here is a poem I’ve just written. I’ll be including this at the poetry section.

Sawa ka na ba?

Sawa ka na ba?

Sawa ka na ba?

Sawa ka na ba?
…magmahal

Sawa ka na ba?

Sawa ka na ba?

Body Count Mother F***er!!!

Last Friday I traded my Sepultura (Arise album) to a Body Count (cop killer) album, both in CD format. It was a friend I knew from Tandem in Recto. The punk scene is quite coming up again and it’s good, and so as the Metal scene. A swarm of punks are starting to go there almost every day. I happen to know the owner of the store. He’s Darwin, and also Jon (from Bad Omen). They were selling all types of Punk stuff, from CD’s to Punk Fashion.
I also bought some CD’s after getting my salary. I bought 4 CD’s and 1 VCD all in all. Metallica S&M, EraserHeads Aloha Milky way, Wolfgang Acoustica, Decendents Enjoy album (CD-R only, the one with Wendy), and The Crow (VCD).

Now what about Valentine’s Day?
Huhuhu! I spent the night drinking with my cousin and his barkada. We just have a one drink way too many. But we have some hot pot as our pulutan while listening to my new purchased CD’s. We were drinking the whole night away and planning what we are going to do on my cousin’s birthday.

The next morning, Saturday, after eating lunch I packed up my things and headed for the mall to have my cell phone repaired. I spend P600 for a new LCD. Any way that’s all right, at least my cell phone is now in A1 condition. At about 7pm Anthony a good friend of mine texted me and ask if I wanted to go out later. After thinking for a while I said Yes. Why not? It’s a Saturday night, a nice time to go out and meet new people. So he told me that we’d just see each other at about 11pm somewhere. At about 10:30pm I was ready and all dressed up. Since it’s still early, I went to my neighbors and joined them to drink a couple of beers. Then Anthony called up and told me we have to go. We went to Libis, a hot new place in town where party people go. To be particular we went to SIBIL, so we fall in line in order to get in, pay for the ticket and got in. We then went straight to the bar to get our drinks. Club beats after club beats people are starting to party. At exactly 1pm a group of girls suddenly went up the table on the bar, and people were screaming. Boy, I tell you, it was Just like in the movie Cayote Ugly. 2 girls were dancing right just above me, and they were doing it dirty style. My friend Anthony is on my right side he is busy looking at this girl stripping just above him. People were shouting “Take It Off! Take It Off!” hehehe They were showing their thongs. It was so exciting looking at them and teasing you. I would definitely go back there. I really enjoyed it.

At about 2:30am a friend texted me. It was Mike, and he was asking if where I was and he was with Bryan in Eastwood drinking. I told him that Anthony and me are in SIBIL. Mike asked me if we wanted to come there and join them. So we decided to go there coz Eastwood is also in Libis. So four of as are there, my high school friends, spending the whole wee hours drinking and talking about the crazy things we did back in high school. Then went home at about 5 in the morning and call it a day.

It was a fun and exciting weekend. I’ll be looking forward for next week.

HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY CARLITO!!!!

Hope all of you had a nice weekend. Mine wasn’t that nice. I have a problem with my cell phone. My cell phone’s LCD is not doing well. Huhuhu! I’ve been to the repair shop and spend some cash for the repairs of my phone. They’ve fixed it but after a day its back again with the same problem. Bad trip!!!! The good news is, I can still send and receive calls and messages. I was thinking maybe its about time I buy a new one or Maybe not. It’s expensive!!!! The question is where do I get the money? I have Used all my savings last Christmas!!!

Anyway I’m looking forward this valentine’s day! If I’m going to be lucky I might end up with a date (Hope so! Pray for me) but if not my friends and I will be going out this Saturday. The usual boys night out.

Good luck to Jinky my office mate: She has a report tomorrow in her MA class.

I spent my weekend at my cousins’ place in Novaliches. It takes about 45 to 60 minutes if you take a taxicab, or if you take the public transport you need 60 to 90 minutes to get to their place. I was looking for a taxicab that night but no one would pick me up (Malayo daw kasi o gagarahe na daw siya!). I can’t blame them, Novaliches is where taxi drivers are often mugged. Too bad for me, so I took up the ever-dependent public transport, the FX. I took project 8; get off in Muñoz, took a bus headed for Novaliches get off somewhere in Mindanao ave., then took a tricycle headed for my cousins’ place. Every weekend I go to my cousins’ place for three things. We have this social drinking activity, the food is nice, and most specially playstation 2. As of the moment I’m playing Maximo. It’s a nice game, graphics is designed for kids but I still like it. I have this nine-year-old niece, my cousin’s daughter and she is really good in Tekken, Tekken 4 or Tekken tag. Imagine me loosing to a nine year old. She even opened all the characters in Tekken tag. Anyway I spent the whole Saturday working on my cousins PC. I scanned his hard drives and memory, and then went on to scan his hard drive for errors then defrag it. You know what? He was surprised to found out that he’s computer is again in A1 condition. Talk about maintaining your PC. I told him that the computer is like a car, you’re using it, you have to tune it up, (like what you do in cars) to make it look and feel brand new.

I went home Sunday afternoon, went straight to my room and do some cleaning. I have to pick up all my CD’s coz they where all scattered around my room. It’s about 3pm so decided to put some music while cleaning. By the way I have this neat equipment, which I bought last Christmas, a two channel CD mixer. So I plugged it, crank up the volume then played Megadeth and System of a down SOAD for short. It was fun fixing my stuff while listening to heavy metal music.

Later that evening I went to Jeff Maguad’s Birthday, A little celebration for the boys as he told me thru text. Jeff was a high school friend. I was the first one to came to his place. Then came our friends one by one, Eric Plaza, Michael Camacho, Jorge Salle, Earnest Reyes, and Anthony Bihis. We filled our bellies with Red Horse Beer, a beer not for the weak of heart, personally I tell you this stuff is really strong. I doze about four bottles, to be exact two liters. Hehehe! I got sober then went home and call it a day. It was nice talking to my friends. Every time we meet, we talk about our high school days. Everything from doing foolish things to girls etc. and we don’t get tired of that. Maybe its because that time is so precious to us (Talking about nostalgia!). that’s all… Sino kaya ang susunod na may Birthday? “tama na yan inuman nah!!!! Oi pare ko tumagay kah!!! Hik! Hik!
